Mistake to avoid While Installing Floor Tiles

You might be thinking that tiles installation job simple, What the tile installation workers do is simple enough that you can do it by your own. well I must say it is simple as you think or may hard as well. Why it is simple and hard both at the same time?. If you don't know its basics mistake it will be hard and if you know how to install it, then it will be simple job.

Whether you do it by your own or make it done by some one else, at least you should know the process how to install the floor tiles, This is the best way to avoid mistake by knowing the process. 

These are the small mistake worker do while installing floor tile which lead to terrible outcome.

Uneven Surface

This is the first thing to consider before installing any flooring. Most of the time unskilled worker don't use proper equipment to make surface even without any undulation This will lead to uneven floor tile or tile may break after a period of time. While doing this job its hard to notice whether the floor surface smooth or not without proper leveling instruments, make sure that the surface is free from imperfection and should be clean. 

Incase the floor tile is for bathroom or kitchen make sure to give proper slope for water drainage. Improper surface or bad slope will make your tile worst after installation.

Not Planning Tile Layout  

This is major problem and stupid thing that worker do. Not Planning Tile Layout while installing floor tiles in advance. We want to make our finished tile surface appear symmetrical, even if it isn't. For that you need to find the center of the surface first. Then measure in from the sides. When it comes to small area need to pay special attention, where wide tiles at one edge and narrow ones at the other will make a whole job look out of balance.

Grouting Color

This is one of the biggest mistake that not matching grouting color with floor tile. We usually do not give any attention to grouting color, We use grouting color which is easily available at the time of installation. Many think it is okay to used mismatch color of Grouting but trust me the finished product will give a bad appearance. Make sure to used matching grout according to your tile, if not choose a lighter that your tile color.
